Week 8 question:
- Warming up reduces the risk of injuries.
- Your warm-up is complete when your body feels warm, your muscle and joints are flexible and you are mentally prepared to workout.
- Cooldown helps your body return to it resting state and helps to avoid fainting or dizziness.
- You should stretch before and after your workout because it prevents injuries. It is important because it improves your range of motion, prevents injuries, supports your breathing, improves your performance and gives you a boost of energy.
- I learned last semester that I need 7-9 hours of sleep. The majority of the time I get 7-8 hours of sleep and on days when I have a busy schedule, I get 5-6 hours of sleep. When I don’t get enough sleep, I try to take a small nap during the day or go to bed earlier.
- The symptoms of sleep deprivation are drowsiness, fatigue, moodiness, yawning, lack of motivation, clumsiness and lack of concentration.
- Almonds and fruits are two healthy snacks that you can eat while studying.
